Chowchilla – Orthonyx spaldingii
Resident of mainly upland rainforest in small groups. Very vocal in early mornings.
Try: The Crater, Paluma, Mt Lewis.
● Often seen feeding by walking tracks at Paluma and The Crater, when they are less vocal but attract attention by scratching conspicuously in leaf litter.
