Upland rainforest, 450-1600m
Try: Mt Lewis, Paluma Dam, South Johnstone
● The only thornbill in area. Forages in pairs or small twittering groups in mid to upper levels in forest. Smaller size, pale eye and whitish underparts and distinguish it from Large-billed Scrubwren.
